The People Who Have Inspired Our Neurodivergent Understanding
Join me and Teo Byrne live in conversation
I’ll be joining Teo Byrne of
live in conversation this Tuesday to discuss some of the people who have inspired our neurodivergent understanding. It won’t be an exhaustive list - that would be a very long event - but we’ll be sharing our unscripted thoughts about the ideas from some of the people who’ve had the biggest impact on our self-understanding and the way we conceptualise neurodivergence up to this point.
We’re running the event in the Happy Neurodivergent Life Facebook group. It’s a small and friendly group which is open to neurodivergent adults of all descriptions who take a neurodiversity paradigm approach and want to create a life that works with their unique brain and nervous system.
You can join us live on Tuesday, July 22nd at 8pm BST (UK time), 3pm EDT, 12 noon PDT - or catch the replay afterwards.
I joined neuroaffirming family coach Tanya Valentin on her podcast From Burnout to Balance. The episode, entitled From Pathology to Possibility: Neurodivergent Identity, Therapy & Community, was released today and is available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
Tanya’s resources often appear in my monthly Neurodiversity Newsletter, and she was one of the first people to take part in the Spotlight on series:
Spotlight on The Challenges of Parenting a Child in Autistic Burnout with Tanya Valentin, Neuro-Affirming Family Coach
Tanya Valentin is a late-identified AuDHD woman, and mum to three late-diagnosed neurodivergent teens and young adults. She lives on a small lifestyle block in rural New Zealand.
